1 year and 4 months ago I ruined my Canon SLR in an exceptionally bad Nevada Desert sand storm. When you try and take a picture nothing happens… at all. I have been meaning to get it fixed but have lived in silent fear as to how much (I thought) it was going to cost. Last night I decided enough was enough and I should just bite the bullet and do it. As I was about to put it in my bag to take to a camera shop today I thought to myself, imagine if it’s not really broken and they just press something and it comes back to life, how embarrassing would that be? I flicked the tiny button on the lens from automatic focus to manual. CLICK! It took a picture. I nearly dropped it. I then turned it back to automatic… it works… 1 year and 4 months…
